General terms and conditions of sale, updated September 2026

These general terms and conditions of sale govern the contractual relationship between CGM, which operates the www.hellobatteries.co.uk website, and any person making a purchase on the site. Placing an order implies full acceptance of these terms.

Products are sold and shipped from France.

ARTICLE 2: SCOPE

These terms apply to the distance selling of the products offered on the www.hellobatteries.co.uk website. They apply to both consumers and business customers, with the specific provisions indicated where relevant.

ARTICLE 3: PRODUCTS

Products are described as accurately as possible. Photographs, illustrations and technical data sheets are provided for information only and are not binding on the seller. It is the customer's responsibility to check that the product is compatible with their device or vehicle before ordering, using the search tools on the site or by contacting customer service.

Offers are valid while stocks last. If a product becomes unavailable after the order is placed, the customer is informed and may choose between an equivalent product, waiting for restocking or a refund.

ARTICLE 4: PRICES

Prices are shown in the currency displayed on the site. For consumer customers, prices include VAT at the rate applicable on the day of the order. Delivery charges are shown separately before the order is confirmed and are calculated according to weight, volume and destination. CGM reserves the right to change its prices at any time, it being understood that products are invoiced at the price in force when the order is placed.

ARTICLE 5: ORDERS

The customer selects the products, checks the basket summary, enters their delivery details and confirms the order. Confirming the order constitutes acceptance of the prices, the product characteristics and these terms. The contract is formed when CGM sends the order confirmation by email.

CGM reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order in the event of an ongoing payment dispute, a clearly incorrect address or suspected fraud.

ARTICLE 6: PAYMENT

Payment is due in full when the order is placed. The accepted payment methods are shown on the payment page. Card transactions are processed by a payment service provider over an encrypted connection: CGM does not store card details. For payment by bank transfer, the order is processed only once the funds are received, with the order number quoted as the payment reference; if the transfer is not received within seven days, the order is cancelled. Goods remain the property of CGM until the price has been paid in full.

ARTICLE 7: DELIVERY

Orders are shipped from France to the address given by the customer. The delivery times shown on the site are indicative and run from confirmation of payment. Products in stock are generally prepared within one working day. Products classified as dangerous goods, such as batteries, travel by road only, which may extend the delivery time.

The customer is asked to check the condition of the parcel on delivery. If the parcel is damaged or has been opened, the customer must note specific reservations on the carrier's document and inform customer service within three working days, with photographs.

In the event of delay or non-delivery, the customer contacts customer service, which opens an enquiry with the carrier. If delivery does not take place within the time limits laid down by law, a consumer customer may terminate the contract and obtain a refund.

ARTICLE 8: RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

A consumer customer has fourteen days from receipt of the goods to exercise their right of withdrawal, without having to give a reason. To do so, it is sufficient to inform customer service at info@cgmoto.com before the deadline, quoting the order number.

Goods must be returned complete, unfitted, unused, in their original packaging and in a condition that allows them to be resold. Return costs are borne by the customer. The refund is made within fourteen days of receipt of the returned goods or of proof of their dispatch, using the same payment method as for the order.

The right of withdrawal does not apply in particular to made-to-measure or personalised products, or to products that have been dismantled, fitted to the vehicle or rendered unusable by the customer.

ARTICLE 9: WARRANTIES

All products are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity and the guarantee against hidden defects provided for by the applicable law, for two years from delivery for consumer customers. A customer who notices a defect contacts customer service, which explains the return procedure and, depending on the case, repairs, replaces or refunds the product.

The warranty does not cover normal wear, consumables (bulbs, brake pads, filters, fuses), damage resulting from incorrect fitting, use in competition, modification of the product, lack of maintenance or use not in keeping with the intended purpose of the part. For a claim concerning a part that has been fitted, CGM may ask for the professional fitting invoice in support of the claim.

ARTICLE 10: LIABILITY

Products must be fitted in accordance with good practice, preferably by a professional. CGM cannot be held liable for damage resulting from incorrect fitting, the use of an unsuitable product or failure to follow the manufacturer's instructions.

ARTICLE 11: INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All elements of the site, including text, images, trademarks and structure, are protected by intellectual property law. Any total or partial reproduction without prior written authorisation is prohibited. Manufacturers' trademarks are mentioned on the site solely to identify the compatibility of parts.

ARTICLE 12: PERSONAL DATA

The data collected is necessary for processing orders and managing the customer relationship. Its processing is described in the privacy policy available on the site. The customer has the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, which may be exercised by writing to info@cgmoto.com.

ARTICLE 13: COMPLAINTS

For any complaint, the customer contacts customer service at info@cgmoto.com or on +33972169622. CGM undertakes to reply as quickly as possible and to seek an amicable solution.

ARTICLE 14: APPLICABLE LAW AND DISPUTES

This contract is governed by French law, as the products are sold and shipped from France. A consumer customer retains the benefit of the mandatory consumer protection provisions of the law of their country of residence.

In the event of a dispute, the parties first seek an amicable solution. Consumers may also use, free of charge, a consumer mediation service under the conditions provided for by the French Consumer Code. Failing agreement, the dispute is brought before the competent courts.
